August news and events

Remember back to summer vacation as a kid, I always felt like when the 4th of July hit that meant summer vacation was half way over and then when my birthday came in August I really panicked that school was starting soon, so tell me why at nearly 41 years old do I still feel like the time on summer is running out?!

I think it is because the winter is very long, cold and I feel stuck inside and being outside is just so much more energetic and fresh to me. I bring this up this month because as the summer has that wind down feeling lets not take it for granted….get outside and live your life.

This leads me right into not taking things for granted. What is more valuable than your health? We focus far too much on what we think we should look like what we think we should weigh or what size we should wear. Absolutely zero of that matters at the end of the day, what matters is how you lived your life and the things you were able to do based on your physical, and emotional health. We can absolutely be able bodied for many years, do not use age or your perceived body type hold you back because there is appropriate healthy movement for all bodies.

Part of my job as a personal trainer is to help you get there and move your body in ways that make sense for you and add value to your life.

Here are some upcoming movement events in August that will add value to your life!!

This guided hike will be at the Penosha trail inside Brighton recreation area, it is a moderate and very scenic 5 mile loop. Snacks will be provided for everyone before and after the hike. All of the information can be found for this event at the Fitness you can live with facebook page.

RSVP by Friday August 9th $20 per person

50 minute guided mobility class with snacks after.

This class is a great way to work on those tight and restricted areas of your body such as your hips, shoulders and back. We will hit it all and work on improving your range of motion, postural awareness and have you moving great through life. Snacks for everyone will be provided after class. RSVP by Friday August 23rd $20 per person
