The first day of Summer is around the corner but I think we can all agree we’ve seen some awesome days thus far! I don’t know about you but I dream of Summer all year, I love to go to the farmers markets in the area and buy what is in season from local farmers. I like to get outside and do my personal training sessions outside. I like to take long bike rides and hikes. I like to eat tons and tons of fruit! I definitely eat a ton more raw foods in the summer months, if I don’t have to turn on the oven that is always nice, with that said we do a fair amount of grilling all kinds of veggies and fruits too! We love to make grilled vegetable salads, kabobs, plant based burgers, grilled peaches, pineapple and bananas.
These are just a few of my favorite things about summer, what are some of yours?
I am now going into my 7th year as a personal trainer and I just recently recertified and also decided to obtain an additional certification in nutrition from American Council On Exercise. With this additional certification it allows me to help even more clients attain their nutritional goals, help with proper fueling before and after workouts, help with meal planning guidance and more. I think it is important to never stop learning new ways to help people and I know that education around nutrition is the number one area that people struggle with. There is a lot of misinformation everywhere we look from television, social media and magazines. All money driven and not at all health driven. I strongly feel that I am doing people a disservice if I do not try to educate and get everyone in a place where they are making good decisions consistently.
Summer Group Schedule as seen below ::
MONDAYS: 5-6 PM: CIRCUIT TRAINING
TUESDAYS: 4:30-5:30PM: POWER BOXING + BODYWEIGHT STRENGTH MIX
SATURDAYS: 8:30-9:30AM: POWER BOXING
*ALL CLASSES ARE DESIGNED TO MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE AT WITH YOUR FITNESS LEVEL, THESE ARE GREAT WORKOUTS FOR ANYONE; YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN PERFECT AMAZING OLYMPAIN SHAPE TO DO THESE. AFTER ALL ITS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN AND EFFECTIVE, NOT DEFEATING!
