All of those other items are not really getting you very many nutrients or really holding you over until your next meal. I know if I had a bowl of life cereal all I would want would be a second one ASAP! Fat free milk is a joke, its basically sugar water. Pretzels are a nice salty snack and that’s about it, they really provide no nutrients. Baby carrots are fine but please people lets get more creative if your going to have a vegetable! Balance bars are quite humorous because they are full of chemicals and by the way could they be any smaller? Vitamin water is a glorified Capri Sun! Make your own vitamin infused water with lemon slices and strawberries. OH my look at all that food in option C! Look at the balance in carbohydrates from the fruit and the rice cake…look at the healthy fat from the 1/4 avocado, look at the green power in that spinach, look at the protein in that scoop of protein powder. When you have a snack or a meal you do not want to be hungry 10 min later, fill up on the good stuff and crowd out the bad.
How long would a snack like that take to make? Well that’s going to set you back a whole 5 minutes! I think we all have time to make the right decisions when it comes to feeding our fuel tanks we need to set the excuses aside and make a change!
