Teach your Kids Tuesday: Thanksgiving Edition!

With Thanksgiving coming up this week I thought I would throw a fun challenge out there to keep you and your family moving on the day of the big feast!

Instead of just sitting around staring at the Tv during commercial breaks try this commercial break workout and get the kids and adults involved, it does not matter how amazing you are at any of these exercises  but as long as you are trying that is all that counts!

During a car commercial: do 10 pushups

During a movie trailer commercial do 20 jumping jackskell

During a jewelry  commercial do 20 squats

During a commercial for a tv show do 40 high knees

During a Food commercial do a plank hold until it’s over

Fashion or clothing commercial do 30 russian twists

During a health or beauty commercial do 20 Hip lifts

Miscellaneous commercial get a drink of water

Some other ideas are to check out the website   http://www.nbc.com/minute-to-win-it/how-to/

For some really fun game ideas.  My mom always organizes a few games before and after dinner like this and it ends up being so much fun because everyone gets very competitive and the kid inside all of us comes out! It is a great way to get everyone old and young socializing and getting away from watching T.v.  or just sitting around. Most of the games involve things that you have lying around the house so you don’t have to buy a bunch of things. Have some fun and let me know how it goes!
